Hello, Stephen with etrailer.com here. We're gonna take a look today at our safety chain kit for your fifth wheel to gooseneck goose boxes. Now this safety chain kit is gonna come with two chains that you see before me. The two brackets. And the nuts and bolts needed. And of course, your set of instructions to install it correctly.
It is rated at 24,000 pounds capacity. The chain length is 42 inches long, side to side. The brackets are a black powder coated steel. They're gonna be resistant to rust, corrosion, that kind of thing. The clevis hooks are zinc plated, same thing, gonna give you a nice resistant.
The latches are spring loaded, makes it easy to latch when you're hooking on, and very easy to come back off whenever you need to by simply pulling that up and then pulling it off. Your chains will slide through these cross shaped sections here. That's how they would hold onto the brackets themselves. Now, like I said, these are rated for 24,000 pounds. They do have a limited lifetime warranty and they're gonna get the job done for your safety.

This kit uses 1/2" steel so new bolts with a longer shaft are required if you dont want to chance wearing out the pinbox holes.
