Is There Stealth Hitch Ball Mount Attachment with More Rise

Question:
I understand Stealth offers some different height/shape bars to mount balls to. I have a Stealth purchased and installed in March 2022 under the rear bumper of my 2022 BMW X5 i40x. And am tentatively planning to purchase a 2023 Lance 1475 travel trailer, the coupling of which the RV dealer says is a bit over 18 inches at its bottom and a couple inches more to where the top of a 2 inch ball will support the coupling. Since the standard Stealth mounting bar with its tapered piece at one end for dropping vertically into Stealth’s locking mechanism is neutral/flat and the insertion point at tge bottom of the locking mechanism is 15 inches above the ground, I have been told by a Stealth dealer that I need to buy a Stealth bar mount that has a 2 inch rise. Stealth’s customer service advised that such a 2 inch rise is available and the greatest rise they offer. Does ETrailer offer that part? I plan to also buy at the same time a wireless brake controller, that could be shipped with the bar, enclosed in a single box somewhat larger than that of the controller itself probably the Tekonsha prodigy rather than the AutowBrake unit. I might defer buying a Tuson Sway Controller until I see how the small Lance trailer handles. Stealth recommends the Tuson sway unit would offer better sway control than the 2022 BMW X5’s own sway functionality which would require replacing the 2022 passive Stealth wiring harness with a $850+ “active” harness now available, plus extra costs of installation. But the Tuson sway controller is over $400 itself and will require several costly hours to get installed — so I am tentatively planning to wait to add that functionality unless that part could be offered at a bundled discount price for this updating/adapting our 2022 Stealth hitch.

Hey Jim, so we have three options for different height ball mount platforms for the Stealth hitches. The part # 391BMU7S which is probably too tall, the part # 391BMU5S which is probably the one Stealth wanted you to get, and the part # 391BMU5L which is similar but longer in length. I would reach back out to who you talked to and ask for a part number of what they recommended.
It looks like today you ordered the part # 391BMU7S which might be on the taller side but it probably will still work as well as the Prodigy RF part # TK94FR which will work great as well.

Hey Jim, how did the 391BMU7S ball mount end up working with your X5 and the Lance trailer setup? It sounds like it might have been a bit taller than what Stealth suggested. Sharing how it turned out could help others trying to match their hitch height for a similar trailer.
