Question:

I read your response to a similar question i have "We do have a hitch for your 2021 BMW X5 M. However, the correct hitch depends on what you mean by M. If you have an actual M performance model, which would be the M or the M Competition, then the correct hitch is the # SH64MR. If you plan on using it for towing then you will need the # SH22MR which comes with the towing kit. If you have the X5 with the M Sport Package, the correct hitch is the # SH89VR. For the hitch with the towing kit you will need the # SH25VR. If you get the hitch without the towing kit you can always add it later if you decide to tow a trailer using the # SH58VR." I have a 2020 BMW X5 M50i so which one should I get?

Hey Mitch, thanks for reaching out! The correct hitch for your 2020 BMW X5 M50i is the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # SH89VR. The version with the towing kit is still the # SH25VR or you can add it separately with # SH58VR.

Thanks Robin I plan on towing a small utility trailer and a PWC trailer the odd time so I will order the SH25VR. Thanks

I am still a bit confused. The chat says I should order the SH25VR. When I order it online the notes say “ excluding M sport package or M models with the M sports package” ??

@Mitch that is correct, that is the one with the tow package.

@Mitch # SH89VR is just the hitch with the receiver for accessories. The # SH25VR is the same hitch but with the wiring and ball mount for towing. Both are a fit for the 2020-2023 X5 - M50i per the instructions from Stealth linked below. Since you plan on towing the # SH25VR is the correct hitch.
