I just purchased my first new vehicle, A 2023 BMW X5 and his has the M Sport Package. I want a hitch that is hidden and I was wondering what all had to be done for installation. Thanks

Firstly congratulations on the purchase of your new 2023 BMW X5 with M Sport Package. When it comes to installing a hidden trailer hitch onto your vehicle I would recommend The Stealth Hitch # SH25VR. After installation this trailer hitch has a completely hidden design, that will give it a clean, from-the-factory look and it will not affect the ground clearance or block your trunk's foot-access sensor.

The Stealth hitch requires no drilling for installation, but it does require temporary removal of the bumper/fascia during the installation process. You will also have to permanently remove the impact structure and the hitch will replace the structure for support and safety, and lastly the gravel shield under the rear of the car (not fascia) will require trimming.

The Stealth Hitch # SH25VR comes with all the necessities needed to towing a trailer. It also comes with the receiver attachment that is meant for bike racks and cargo racks only. To tow a trailer you will need to use the included ball mount attachment. If you only wish to haul a bike rack or a cargo rack then The Stealth Hitch # SH89VR will only come with the receiver attachment for bike rack and cargo racks only. If you ever decide that you do want to tow a trailer you can purchase The Towing Kit # SH58VR later on down the road.
