2024 Toyota Highlander XLE Hybrid Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendations

Question:
I have a 2024 Toyota Highlander XLE Hybrid, Im looking for a trailer hitch and wiring harness. I have an 18inch Spare Tire, Its a non factory trailer wiring harness. Im looking at the EH35VR Hitch but open to suggestions. Im looking at the TK99FR wiring harness. Can you please advise me on which hitch and wiring harness to purchase?

Hey Roy, thanks for reaching out!
The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH35VR is a great choice because it will let you keep the 18" spare on your 2024 Toyota Highlander, and then I really like the Tekonsha T-One Wiring # TK99FR because it is the most reliable brand on the market - excellent choices!
I also recommend picking up the mounting brackets # 18144 and # 18136 so it's easier to keep the 4-Way connector in reach right next to the hitch receiver.
I've attached some installation videos as well as a photo of the EcoHitch on a 2023 Highlander for your reference.
What do you plan on using the hitch for?

Hey Roy, how did the EcoHitch and Tekonsha wiring harness work out on your Highlander? Did the spare tire clear the hitch as expected? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar hybrid model.
