Question:
Will this controller work with three axle trailer
asked by: Phillip
Expert Reply:
Hey Phillip! Sorry but the Curt Echo item # C51180 is limited to 2 axle trailers. It doesn't have many limitations but it can only operate four brake assemblies.
For a brake controller that will work with a triple axle trailer, I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite item # RED44FR. This is a proportional brake controller that automatically adjusts your trailer's braking based on the deceleration of your tow vehicle. The Tow-Pro Elite has a unique installation method where the main unit is concealed behind your dash and the only part visible is the control knob.
If you could comment below your vehicle's year, make, and model I would be more than happy to see if we have a plug and play wiring harness that works with this controller.

Hey Phillip, did you end up trying the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite for your triple axle trailer? Your feedback could really help others looking for a controller that handles more than two axles. Sharing what worked would be a big help to the next person with the same setup.
