Does Install of Prodigy P3 Brake Controller Require Trip to Dealer to Activate

Question:
Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller Installed with the appropriate harness in a 2018 F150 with factory 7pin wiring. Is this a plug and play type installation or is there some type of dealer programming required for this controller to operate properly? Thanks Jim

Hey Jim, all you need to install the Prodigy P3 brake controller in your 2018 Ford F-150 is the part # TK99UR which is the controller and the correct harness for your truck. Your truck does not require any additional steps for the controller to be active so no trips to the dealer or underhood connections like the GM trucks require. It really is plug and play like you asked about.

Hey Jim, how did the plug and play setup with the Prodigy P3 work out on your F-150? Did everything power up and function like expected with the harness? Your update could make it easier for the next person wiring the same controller.
