Looking For New Lock Cylinder For 2008 A.R.E Contractor Shell

Question:

Hello, I have an approximate 2008 ARE contractor shell on my 2008 ford f250 what product can I use to replace the cylinders on the shell?

Hello David, thanks for reaching out. I will need more information on your camper shell in order to know what locks will work. Can you provide the model number from your shell? That will help a lot to narrow things down.

For example, if your ARE shell uses the BOLT brand locks, the Replacement Lock Cylinder # BLT79FR can be used as long as your Ford key looks like one of the ones pictured below.

Get me that model number and I am happy to look into it and see what we can do.

@DavidB Gotcha. Does yours use the BOLT locks (that use the same key as the truck) or do they use a separate key? We have the replacement for the BOLT cylinders. But if your shell uses its own key (most of the older models do), that is not something we have a replacement for.

@JesseM looks like the locks use a ford key, my vehicle is a base model 2008 f250 superduty. Lock on the shell looks very similar to your product. This comment section apparently doesn’t allow pictures to be posted, I sent a couple of pictures to your email
