Can The Curt Ball Mount C45042 Be Used In The Rise Position?

curt 45042, your web site says I can flip it for a 2inch rise but on the Curt web site shows only a 4inch

Hello Mel, thanks for reaching out. The Curt Ball Mount # C45042 does come with the ball pre-torqued in the drop position. You can remove the ball and flip it over to use it in the rise position, but you would need a torque wrench and a 1" lock nut in order to do this. Since it comes pre-torqued this one is generally only used in the drop position. If you want something not pre-torqued, use the # C45270 ball mount and the # 40038 ball.
