Troubleshooting Pace Edwards Tonneau Cover That Will Not Open With Remote

Question:
I have an electric pace Edward cover and it will not open with the remote and it used to work and the manual release lever won’t pull to release

Hello Travis, thanks for reaching out. Typically, when we see the Pace Edwards covers having trouble opening, it is because the cover is getting hung up on the rails due to lack of lubrication. I recommend first lubing the rails with some dry silicone # RM-747 just to see if maybe the cover is getting stuck somewhere in the railing and making the gears stick or wear down and slip. Also check the tracks for any debris. Check to see if you can hear the motor trying to run or if you can hear any gears slipping because it might be an internal issue with the cover. If that is the case I'd reach out to Pace Edwards for a warranty claim if possible.

Thanks I got the manual release to finally work and opened cover manually. When I hit the open or close on the fob I can hear a click when I push the button so it is transmitting but nothing else moves
