Compatibility of 3430001 Autowbrake Brake Controller with 2012 Volvo C70

Question:

I Had a 7 pin plug put on my Volvo C 70 at the Uhaul place along with a class 1 hitch. I will be towing a 1200 pound Nucamp Boondock lite, that weights about 1200 pounds and has electric brakes. Will this AUTOWBRAKE unit work on this vehicle without drawing too much amperage through the 7 pin plug?

As long as the 7-way was installed correctly with a circuit breaker protected connection to the tow vehicle battery, the # 3430001 Autowbrake Brake Controller you mentioned will work just fine. A single axle trailer will only draw about 6 amps at full braking power, so there will be no problems at all as the power circuit through the 7-way is usually protected by a 30 amp breaker or fuse at a minimum.
