Question:

I have a 2024 GMC 2500 DENALI ultimate deisel with the max trailer package. The bed is 6. The trailer I am looking to purchase is a Brinley 3950 with a gross weight of 22,500 lbs fith wheel. Do you have a 25k fith wheel hitch with a slide?

Hello Jimmie,

Wow, that's a really nice truck! We do have a sliding hitch that will work for you, but it is not a B&W like you were looking at. B&W does not make a slider rated for 25K, the slider only goes to 20k like the # BWRVK3775, they do have a 25K Companion but it is for the 8 foot bed # BWRVK3715 which is not a slider.

With that being said, for your 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 Diesel with Prep Package you will want the Curt A25 5th Wheel Hitch w/ S25 Slider for Ford and Chevy/GMC Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 25K # C26ZJ. This part number is going to include the rails that will go directly into the puck system in the bed of the truck, and then the Curt A25 will sit directly on those rails. I have included an install video so you can see exactly how the rails are installed into the puck system, and a breakdown video of the A25 so you can see how it works. Curt makes great products, and the A25 is the only sliding hitch I have found on the market that is a slider rated at 25K.

Do you already have your first 5th wheel adventure lined up, if so where are you heading to? When you do get things set up and hit the road let us know how you like the set up. Please feel free to include a picture too, I love to see where our customers like to explore. May 2025 bring you many awesome adventures! From, your friends here at etrailer!

Hey Jimmie, how did the Curt A25 with the S25 slider work out with your Sierra’s prep package? That setup sounded like a solid match for your 25K fifth wheel. Your feedback could really help others looking for a similar heavy-duty towing option.
