Will Integrated Brake Controller of 2025 Chevy Silverado 3500 Detect Electric Over Hydraulic Actuatr

Updated 01/12/2026 | Published 06/20/2025

Question:

I have a 2025 Chevy Silverado LT 3500 HD with a diesel motor. I am getting my 5th wheel converted from electric drum brakes to hydraulic disc brakes. I can find nothing on any EOH switch on the dash or inforcenter. I have been told that the pickup doesnt need it and will adjust/convert automatically. Is this accurate?

Hey Ken, it should detect the brake style and work automatically. But if your trailer has a solar setup let me know and there may be some extra steps.

@KenK can you report back if it worked as is? I am doing the same thing with the same truck here in a few months! I appreciate it!
