Hey Timothy, yes the SoftStartRV part # SSR54FR is the correct start capacity you can use on the AC unit of your 2016 Forest River Cherokee Greywolf 26DBH. This will take out 70 percent of the power demand when the AC unit is firing up as well as will allow it to start up without the loud clunking noise.

Thank you. I plan on installing this. So, would I be able to run my AC off of 20amp shore power if needed? Also, what size inverter generator could I get away with to run the AC while boondocking?

@Timothy Do you happen to know the exact amperage consumption of the AC unit you have? And would that be only thing running when boondocking?

@JamesonC Not exactly. It would be the stock 13500 btu that came with the trailer. I was only using it to cool down and avoid using other high drain products with it.

@TimothyM Typically for a 13.5k BTU AC unit a generator like the A-iPower Generator part # 289-SUA2000i would be more than adequate. It has a starting wattage rating of 2,000 and a running wattage of 1,600 which is more than enough but I would still recommend finding out what AC unit you have and it's power consumption as in the 13.5k range the starting wattage requirements can vary a bit.
