What is a Good Option For RV Air Conditioner For Broken Unit

Published 10/15/2024

Question:

I own a keystone 25rss. The pcb board of the carrier airv is busted. Since the part is not available. Should I replace the whole system? If so, which one? The units I have seen did not include a remote to set the temperature.

Hi Joshua,

Since the part is not available for your Carrier Air V, you will need to replace the entire unit. And while there isn't an option for one with a remote control, what you can do is get one with a standalone, wall-mounted thermostat that you can use so it's simple to use. I really like the Furrion Chill HE because they are the most efficient and have a start capacitor built in which stores power so your AC is always going to start up. You can choose from either White or Black:

- White: Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 15,000 Btu # FR55PV

- Black: Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 15,000 Btu # FR23PV

Don’t have a budget friendly option?

@Joshua We do have less expensive options, though an AC will still have some cost to it so I don't want to mislead you and say they are inexpensive or budget-friendly (although I do suppose that depends on your budget). But the AC units that will do the least amount of damage to your wallet are from Advent, and these also come in White or Black. - White: Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ADV94FR - Black: Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ADV44FR
