Question:

Can I install a Colman Mack solf start on a Dometic Brisk Air II. If so what would be the wiring diagram. Thanks

I do not recommend using the soft start from a Coleman air conditioner on your Dometic Brisk Air II. You want to use a product which has be test to function properly on your AC like the SoftStartRV Soft Start # SSR54FR or a Dometic Soft Start. I have included the wiring instructions for the SoftStartRV in an image below.

Hello! Are Softstart RV products such as the one you are recommending UL listed like Micro Air softstarters for RV’s are? Also, does installing one void the warranty? Thanks!

@KenW Currently the SoftStartRV is not UL rated. I spoke with the company and they are looking into getting the certification. As for the warranty the 2-year SoftStartRV Warranty covers your RV air conditioner’s compressor motor. If your manufacturer does not cover the repair or replacement of the compressor under warranty, then we’ll replace your compressor, if it’s due to the SoftStartRV malfunctioning.
