Features to know about

Cools Quickly and Efficiently: 13,500 Btu of Steady Performance

Hot interior air doesn’t stand a chance against this 13,500 Btu unit. Dual motors move cool air faster and more efficiently than a single-motor setup, keeping your space comfortable without lag. The R32 refrigerant keeps the system compliant with 2025 EPA regulations while maintaining solid cooling output and energy efficiency.

Keeps Running When Power Dips: Built-In Start Capacitor

Low campsite voltage or a small generator won’t stall this system. The built-in start capacitor stores extra energy to jump-start the compressor when power is limited, so the AC can start smoothly and keep running. It automatically resets for the next use, so you’re ready to cool again without hassle.

Built to Stay Quiet and Smooth: Rubber Dampeners Reduce Vibration

When the AC kicks on, you’ll notice the comfort—not the noise. Rubber dampeners on the compressor absorb vibration and reduce sound transfer through the roof. That means less hum inside and a calmer environment while it’s running.

Made to Handle the Elements: UV-Resistant and Thermally Insulated Design

The UV-resistant outer cover shields internal parts from rain, debris, and sunlight, while the EPP foam housing resists water and chemicals. Thermal insulation helps regulate internal temperatures and prevents overheating even under heavy use. It’s a tough design built to last through long seasons of heat.

Easy Upgrade for Furrion Systems: Bolt-On Replacement with 115V Power

This unit is designed to replace an existing Furrion Chill AC using a simple bolt-on installation. It’s compatible with ducted or non-ducted systems and runs on 115V, 60Hz power with an 11.2-amp draw while operating. The compact housing measures 34-13/16" long x 27-9/16" wide x 13-9/16" tall and weighs just 76 lbs, making it manageable to handle during installation or maintenance.

Video Transcript for Review of Furrion RV Air Conditioners - Chill Replacement White 13500 BTU HE RV Roof AC - FR26TD

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at the Furrion Chill replacement white 13,500 BTU high efficiency RV roof air conditioner unit. Now, this is going to be a great option to consider if you're looking to replace your RV's air conditioner that uses the more energy efficient R-32 refrigerant that meets the 2025 EPA regulations. So this air conditioner will work with your existing R-32 compliant Furrion setup, but I do wanna make you aware of the fact that this is not backwards compatible with any air conditioner system from 2024 and earlier. You are going to need either an electronic control air distribution box with an electronic controller and thermostat, or a manual control air distribution box with manual controller. But again, those items do have to be R-32 compliant.

So if you are also in need of those items, take a look at the related products tab on this product page. A heat strip is also available as a separate option as well. And again, you can find it under that related products tab. You would just have to install that into this unit and that heat strip would be a relatively simple install. So this streamlined aerodynamic design is going to help resist air drag, and it's gonna cut down on fuel costs while looking pretty modern on top of your RV or camper.

This is designed not only to enhance the appearance of your RV, but it's also going to help contribute to better gas mileage, as I said. This 13,500 BTU per hour air conditioner will quickly and efficiently cool down the inside of your RV or camper. And this is gonna be compatible with either your ducted or ductless systems. And I do wanna show you, I didn't have room on my table here, but this does also include an EPP duct divider. So that will be included with this air conditioner.

Now, this is going to be a bolt-on installation. However, no hardware is going to be included with this. this will simply be just for the unit itself. Talking about some measurements, looking at the overall length from front to back, we're sitting pretty close to 34 13/16 inches long. The overall width about 27 9/16 inches wide.

The overall height about 13 9/16 inches tall. And I went ahead and removed the, I believe it's 10 screws that secure this cover to the unit itself. So I could more quickly and easily remove the cover just to give you a quick view of the inside. So the screws are Phillips head screwdriver, so it's gonna be very easy to remove. But let me go ahead and see if I can give you a lower view here just so you can kinda get an idea of what's going on inside. So this unit is engineered with dual fans, which is going to enhance the cooling efficiency and help reduce the operating noise. The dual fan design is going to move cold air into the RV while at the same time circulating air around the primary fan, reducing heat generated from operating the air conditioner and increasing airflow. Right here, you know, it looks like you can see it there, we do have a start capacitor. And in case you don't know, that's going to give you an extra boost to help jumpstart the air conditioner. When a campsite or a generator doesn't provide enough power, the capacitor actually stores energy that will later be used for the next startup. So sliding that back into frame there, I want to give you an overhead view as well, just so you have a good view of the inside. We do have these rubber dampeners on the compressor that's gonna help reduce vibration and noise. And the EPP foam housing is water and chemical resistance. So I think this is gonna do a great job of holding up against the elements. But like I said, if you ever need to do any cleaning or do any maintenance, it's gonna be very easy to remove this cover. This is a white plastic cover, and it feels like it's a pretty durable piece of plastic, so I think it's gonna hold up really well for you. It's gonna do a great job of protecting the internal components from dirt and debris and water and things like that. So when you're ready to, when you've done the maintenance that you need to do and you're ready to pop the cover on, you just wanna line it up as I'm trying to do here, and then this will just pop right on. And then you'll just replace the screws, and you'll be ready to go back down the road in no time. So again, this is a white color, but we do also have this in black, and we do have some other options or other variations of this as well. So if this isn't exactly what you're looking for, I'm confident you're gonna be able to find the model that you need. I wanna give you a lower angle view again. We do have these foam pads here that are going to help reduce vibration and noise. So you're gonna have foam padding in between the bottom of the AC and the top of your roof. And then of course you got your gasket underneath, and so you're not going to need any sealant or anything like that when you install this. And then this does also have a wiring harness. Lemme see if I can pull that out from the bottom here real quick, just to give you a view. So there's the plug. And then I do have a photo on your screen there, just giving you a closeup of that plug so you have a better view of it. So this air conditioner does distinguish itself with its dual fan technology, its high-energy efficiency, its aerodynamic design, its durable construction, and it's gonna be a relatively simple installation as well. So these features, when they're all put together, is really going to enhance the cooling performance and the energy efficiency and experience for you as an RV owner or camper owner. Well, I think that's going to wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

  • Recommended Multi-Zone Furrion Chill HE Air Conditioner Setup
Hey Mary. The Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System item # FR65TD is a single zone system so it's going to have everything you need to get it installed and running. However, the system is going to be isolated from your other AC. The Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Roof Air Conditioner Unit - 13,500 Btu - White - R32 item # FR26TD is just the air conditioner that mounts up on the roof so it's not going to do anything by itself. You would need the Furrion item # FR95TD instead to have...

  • Replacement AC for Dometic on 2013 Keystone Cougar
Hi Leonard; are you referring to the # FR26TD and # FR86TD? Those are partial part numbers so I'm not 100% sure. If you were looking at the old R410A units I recommend steering clear and upgrading to one of these R32 units. Everything has shifted to R32 refrigerant due to the 2025 EPA requirements, and all of the old parts and systems have been phased out. Since they aren't backwards compatible you will need the AC, air distribution box (ADB), and thermostat. You can choose from the following: -Furrion...

Hey Fances! The Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Roof Air Conditioner Unit # FR26TD is just the AC. No, there isn't Kyle. A Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner like the 15K Btu item # FR86TD or the 13.5K item # FR26TD are only going to be compatible with Furrion air distribution boxes, controllers, and thermostats.
