What Thule Awning Parts Do I Need For My Travato on a 2019 Promaster 3500 Chassis?

Updated 11/03/2025 | Published 01/04/2025

Question:

Hi I am looking at the Thule HideAway Roof Mount awning for a Travato built on a 2019 Ram Promaster 3500 Chassis. I understand I would need to buy the Promaster brackets separately. However, I cannot tell if it comes with the awning leg brackets that allow the legs to be secured to the side of the RV instead of straight up and down to the ground. Can you tell me if they are included? I have read online that they are for the Omnistor awning but cant find anything about it for the HideAway. And my understanding is that the two are essentially the same awning. Thanks. Linda

Hello Linda,

Great question. The brackets that you asked the question on the # TH1500602390 are the brackets to be able to mount the bottom of the awning legs to the side of the Travato.

I am not sure if you want the roof mount or the wall mount, so here are the different set ups:

Roof Mount:

Thule HideAway Awning Roof Mount 8' Long:
- 12' 3" Wide # TH64WJ
- 10' 8" Wide # TH620001

- Dodge ProMaster Van Adapter for Thule HideAway Awning # TH301650

Wall Mount:
- Thule HideAway Awning 8' Long x 9' 10" Wide # TH490011

- Thule HideAway Awning Adapter - Wall Mount # TH308960

For either option, if you would like to be able to mount the legs to the side of the Tavato you will want the # TH1500602390. You will also want the Hold Down Strap Kit for Thule HideAway Awnings - 36' Strap # TH307906 to be able to better anchor it down. I have included some install/review videos for you to check out as well.

After you get things set up, please let me know what you think of it. Feel free to include a picture of you using it at one of your favorite spots, I love to see where our customers like to explore! May 2025 bring you many awesome adventures! From, your friends here at etrailer!

Hi Linda, how did the setup with your Thule HideAway awning and the Promaster brackets turn out on your Travato? Did the side-mount leg brackets give you the flexibility you were looking for? Your update could make it easier for others working on a similar van setup.
