Question:
I have a 2016 Ram 3500 Dually with stock suspension except for an upgraded heavy duty sway bar. The truck year-round carries a truck camper that will have a max payload of 4,300 lbs or less including the occupants. Would the 5,000 ultimate airbag be sufficient or would I be better off with the 7500 lb airbag?

Hello John,
Great question! If you are staying under 5,000 pounds I would stick with the 5,000 pound bags. By getting the heavy duty 7,500 bags, if you are not carrying a heavier load then it can cause poor ride quality. The nice thing about the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs # AL88295 is that not only are they a great fit for your 2016 Ram 3500, but they also have the internal jounce bumpers. So lets say one of your bags were to ever fail, you have that added layer of protection. If you are looking for a good air compressor, we have a really heavy duty one with an air tank so you can even air up the tires on your truck # AL77DQ, of if you are just looking to control the air bags # AL74000. Both of the compressors that I mentioned are bluetooth compatible so you can control from your phone, and they come with a handy remote, that way you don't even have to leave the cab of your truck to check the air pressure, add air, or deflate. Once you get everything put together, please let me know what you think of the new set up.
Happy New Year! May 2025 be your best year yet! From, your friends here at etrailer!
