When the trailer’s hitched or the bed is packed down, this Firestone Ride-Rite kit adds up to 5,000 lbs of rear axle support to keep your truck level and stable. The air springs work with your factory suspension to fix rear-end squat that throws off braking and steering. With the load balanced, your headlights stay aimed where they should and your handling feels steady mile after mile.
No need to stop at a pump or drag out an air hose. The integrated 12V air compressor (max working pressure 120 psi) and in-cab analog switch let you inflate or deflate both air bags together from inside the cab. Add pressure when you hitch up or lower it when you unload—anywhere between 5 and 100 psi—to match your setup in seconds.
Firestone includes all the pieces you need for a clean install—air bags, compressor, controller, fittings, lines, hardware, and a no-drill compressor mounting panel. Precision brackets bolt to factory attachment points so each part lines up the way it should. Whether it’s a one-day project or a weekend job, you’ll have everything ready right out of the box.
Each air bag is reinforced rubber with tight-sealing fittings that hold pressure reliably. The plated, coated, and brass components help protect against rust and road grime so the system keeps performing season after season. A limited lifetime warranty on the air bags plus 2-year coverage on brackets, fittings, hardware, and compressor back up that durability.
Even with rough roads or shifting loads, the double-convoluted air springs smooth out bumps and keep your truck planted. The result is less bounce, sway, or porpoising when towing or hauling heavy gear—just solid traction and control every time you hit the road.

Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at our Firestone Ride-Rite airbags. With the complete kit, you're gonna have the easy mount compressor and the end cab control gauge as well. Now these are ready for 5,000 pounds capacity. They are a custom fit, so make sure you're checking the fit guide at etrailer.com where it says buy vehicle information, things like year, make, and model, and any other questions that ask you to be sure you get the right parts the first time.
As you can see, there's a lot of parts here on the table. Basically, you got your airbags, all the brackets needed to mount that. It is a precision made kit, so it's gonna bolt straight into the factory attachment points on the vehicle. You have the bags with the brackets, and then you also have the compressor with its own bracketry to go and be installed as well. So you should have no drilling whatsoever.
In some vehicles, you may have minimal drilling, maybe one or two holes need large or something like that, but 99% of 'em, it's no drill whatsoever. So it's an easy installation. Just follow the instructions you should be good. And as you can see you're getting a whole lot of hardware. That's all your nuts, bolts, your Schrader valves for the airbags, cable ties, the T fittings that are push connect fittings for the airline tube.
Make sure that when you're cutting the airline tube to length, you're getting a nice clean cut. The installers here have told me over the years that's the biggest area where they've ever seen air leaks, if any is that that fitting When you push it in, you need to have as straightest cut as possible to make that skill up as best as you can. And of course the airbags, these are very nice. Firestone been around for ages. They make an amazing product if you need to get your ride back level.
So why we want airbags, why we need 'em. Well, if you're towing and maybe you're squatting where you're hooked up on your tongue weight and those kind of things in the rear, this will get you back to a normal ride height that's gonna keep your headlights back up level versus pointing at the sky. It's gonna give you traction back on your front wheels and it's gonna give you a better overall ride. And with this kit, it's very convenient to simply be able to inflate or deflate from inside the cab. And this is what we would call a single path kit, meaning you can either go up or down both bags at the same time. So it's gonna be very easy to operate whenever the time comes for you to add or remove air as needed. Well folks, there's a lot of information, a lot of parts. Reach out to us and you have any questions about this or any other kits we carry and have a great day.
Ratings & Reviews
I like how the Firestone All-in-one comes with everything I needed without needing to piece together a bunch of parts. The best part is that the air bags and the compressor system come in one package, so everything is already matched and ready to install. I still had to mount the compressor myself, but there’s no guesswork on what works with what.
Installation takes a little time, but the bags make a noticeable difference. They level out the truck, cut down on squat, and help everything feel more stable when you’re towing. And with the onboard compressor, I can add or remove air whenever I need, without carrying around a bulky compressor or stopping at the gas station.
It’s a solid, well-built kit that simplifies the whole process. For anyone who tows often and wants a clean, all-in-one solution, it’s a great fit.
