Hi Hector; to get that higher speed rating you will need to move up to a 12" tire. The only potential issue is the loss of clearance when compared to your current tires. If you have a 4 on 4 bolt pattern you can use the # AM35351DX and for 5 on 4-1/2 the # AM31199DX. This tire has a speed rating of M for 81 mph.
Compared to a tire like the # AM10004 you looked at the diameter will be 5.2" larger and the width will be 1" wider. This means you will lose 2.6" of clearance on top and 0.5" of clearance on the inside of the tire. Recommended clearance is 3" on top and 2" on the inside. If you have fenders on the trailer you will probably have to remove them if you switch to the larger tires.

Hey Hector, how did things turn out with the 12-inch tires for your motorcycle trailer? Did the extra speed rating work out without causing clearance issues? Your update could make it easier for others looking to upgrade from smaller trailer tires.
