Question:

Hello, I currently own a 2019 Honda Passport Touring AWD with factory roof rack. I was wanting to get a rooftop platform for overland camping and was hoping for recommendations on whether my crossbars will work since they are factory and have a slight arch to them, or what bars and platform you would recommend. I would eventually get a rooftop tent as well for 2 people to give an idea of weight under 400 lbs. Thank you so much for any help and hope you all have a Merry Christmas! Cheers, Adam

Adam, the OEM bars you have on your Honda are not going to be enough to mount a flatform rack like the Yakima LockNLoad Platform Rack for Crossbars # Y05045-39 you're also going to need a set of crossbars like the Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack for Raised Rails # TH52ZA.

From here, you're going to be set up perfectly to use whatever overlanding stuff you want to use like that rooftop tent # TH37HJ you mention.

Hey Adam, how did the setup with the Thule WingBar Evo and Yakima LockNLoad platform work out on your Passport? Did everything feel sturdy once you added the rooftop tent? Your update could make it easier for others planning a similar overland setup.
