Question:
I have a 2023 sprinter van with a 7 way trailer plug. It needs an electric brake controller. I’m looking for recommendations. I see lots of choices. Preferably I would like something that is plug and play for my van

Hey Gene, I checked with Tekonsha and a few other brake controller manufacturers and they state that your 2023 Mercedes Sprinter does not have an OEM brake controller install port under the dash like previous models so you would have to hardwire in the Prodigy P2 # 90885 with the universal install harness it comes with and the brake controller install kit part # 5506 which wires to the OEM 7-way you have.
Now with that said I would still check the drivers side seat box for the green brake controller connector so that you could instead plug the P2 in with the part # 3063-P as there seems to be at least a little bit of confusion on this. See picture. Let me know what you find here if you can.

I was never able to find a green connector under the seat. I ended up using a wireless connctor

Hey Gene, did you get a chance to check under the driver’s seat for that green brake controller connector on your Sprinter? Once you found it, were you able to use the plug-in harness or did you end up hardwiring the Prodigy P2 instead? Your update could make it easier for others working on the same setup.
