Recommended 235/75R15 Replacement Tire/Wheel for a 2018 Airstream Basecamp

Updated 12/15/2025 | Published 11/25/2024

Question:

Im looking to change wheels on my 2018 Airstream Basecamp wheel from the factory 18inch rim with 255/55R18 tires. Id like to go down in rim size to a 15inch rim with a 235/75R15 tire. From what I can tell Im looking for a 15x6 or 15x7 rim with 0 offset and a 5 on 4.5inch bolt pattern. Can you confirm thats correct? Best

Hey John,

Those tires are about the same size so they will definitely work. From what I can see, it looks like you do have the 0 offset with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern so to upgrade your tires to the 235/75R15 I recommend going with the Loadstar Radial Off-Road Tire w/ 15" Aluminum Sendel T17 Wheel # KE72JR. It looks sleek, gives you a more aggressive tread for better traction off-road, and has more than enough of a weight rating to handle your 3.5K GVWR Airstream.

I'm attaching a review video for you to check out as well.

Hey John, how did the switch to the 15-inch Loadstar wheel and tire combo work out on your Airstream Basecamp? It’d be great to hear if the fit and ride matched what you were hoping for. Your update could make it easier for others looking to downsize their wheels too.
