When the route takes you down uneven dirt or across long stretches of highway, this tire-and-wheel combo is ready to deliver. The Loadstar ST235/75R15 Radial Off-Road Tire uses double steel belts and full nylon piles for durability and a stable ride. With an 8-ply rating and a maximum load of 2,860 lbs at 65 psi, it keeps its shape and traction under heavy loads. Rated for speeds up to 99 mph (speed rating Q), it’s built to handle both backroads and interstate miles with confidence.
Saltwater, mud, and road grime don’t stand a chance against this wheel’s finish. The 15" x 5" aluminum construction is lightweight, rustproof, and finished in a matte black powder coat that resists corrosion. A clear coat on both sides protects against scuffs and scratches so the wheel keeps its sharp look year after year. Steel inserts in the lug nut wells reinforce the connection points to prevent wear, keeping the wheel tight on the hub without constant retightening.
Rain or snow doesn’t have to stop your trip. The deep tread channels water away from the tire for strong traction in wet, snowy, or icy conditions. It’s designed specifically for trailer use with sturdy sidewalls that handle heavy loads without flexing like passenger tires do. That means steady tracking and solid grip whether you’re rolling through mud or cruising on pavement.
Every part of this assembly meets Department of Transportation specifications for on-road use. Kenda backs the tire with a 5-year limited warranty and a 1-year worry-free guarantee that replaces it at no charge if it’s damaged within the first 12 months. The aluminum wheel carries a 2-year limited warranty. Together, they give you peace of mind knowing your setup is protected mile after mile.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Kenda Loadstar ST235/75R15 Radial Off-Road Trailer Tire in a Load Range D, mounted on this 15 inch matte black machined aluminum trailer wheel with the 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire and wheel assembly is ideal for trailers off-roading on mud or other uneven terrain, and it can also be used on highways and other paved roads. We'll start with the wheel, it's a nice aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rustproof. It is an AM03 Series wheel, which is an open five-spoke design, has a matte black finish.
But if you also noticed around this edge of the open spoke, has a nice machined finish. They do use a clear coat finish on the front and even on the back of the wheel to protect from scuffs and scratches. One of the nice features I like on this wheel, it has the steel inserts right here in the lug nut wells. Helps keep your wheel securely in place on the trailer hub. So basically, when you install this onto the studs of your trailer, put your lug nuts on there and tighten them down, those steel inserts prevent those holes from wearing down, eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts.
The wheel itself, the diameter, 15 inches. The width on just the wheel is five inches wide. Bolt pattern on this is 5 on 4 1/2 inches. And the pilot hole, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel, diameter of that is 3.19 inches. Now, if you noticed this does not have a center cap.
If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately. And you do wanna get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as the pilot hole, 3.19 inches. It does use a wheel lug size of 1/2 inch by 20. And the weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,200 pounds. Now, the tire is a Kenda Loadstar special trailer radial tire.
This is a radial tire, which is constructed with double steel belts and full nylon plies for long life. And if you look at the tread design, it has the deep rugged tread blocks that help give it the excellent grip in any off-road conditions. The tire is an ST tire, which stands for special trailer tire. Has the sturdy sidewall, so they can handle heavy loads. And it is created specifically for trailers, it's not intended for use on other vehicles. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, right here, ST for special trailer, 235/75R15. The R means it's a radial tire. Section width, it's gonna be 9.3 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 29 inches. This is a Load Range D, which means it's an eight-ply rated tire, so it has a maximum load capacity of 2,860 pounds at 65 psi. I also wanna mention, the tire comes with a speed rating, and it's stamped on the sidewall with a letter designation. And where you'll find it is right after the tire size, you'll see two numbers for the load index, and then the letter Q. Speed rating Q means this is a 99 mile per hour speed rated tire. And this tire and wheel assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications. But that's gonna do it for the review on Kenda Loadstar ST235/75R15 Radial Off-Road Trailer Tire in a Load Range D on this 15 inch matte black machined aluminum trailer wheel.

12000 miles, one nail repair, and they are going to last another 12000! Ive gone to the east coast twice now, and off road in Arizona. I will swear by these tires. They still look new!
