Question:
When on a road trip in my RV, it is often not a propane service station available. If I can do my own fill from a portable tank it might work. I dont have the valves and piping to use other adapter fittings that other RVs have. Vehicle: Airstream Interstate Van I want to refill my RV propane tank via the filler valve from my 20 lb. high-pressure BBQ tank. There must be a compatible fitting for this. I also have a propane bottler refill adapter that might work. See images for a better description.

Hi Herman,
In order to refill your onboard tank you would need an ASME fitting which isn't something that we offer. If you can see the regulator then we can look into a tee like the # 103537-MBS which would allow you to connect auxiliary tanks to the motorhome's propane system and fuel any LP appliances. You would still need to go to a qualified LP distributor to refill the ASME tank. You have to take training, pass a written test and pay for a Propane Dispenser License before you can fill propane tanks so this work around is really the only reasonable option.
