Will The Thule Motion 3 XL Rooftop Cargo Box Extend Past The Windshield Of A 22 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Hey Joel,

The Thule Motion 3 Low Profile Rooftop Cargo Box # TH37PN is likely going to overhang the windshield by a little bit, but we can measure to get a definitive answer. Your Grand Cherokee should have flush rails with fixed mounting points. You'll measure from the center of the front mounting points or the center of the front crossbar if you already have a roof rack installed out to the start of the windshield. I'll also need to know the distance from center to center between the mount two fixed mounting points or crossbars to determine your spread and see where that has the feet for the box sit. Once we have these measurements I can do the math to see how much the box will extend past the windshield.

Thank you for the quick reply. I have a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WL (new body). it has flush rails with fixed mount points. I also have the Thule Evo wing crossbars. I would like to buy a Thule Motion 3 XL Low profile box but I am wondering if it will overhang the front windshield. Ideally I would like to keep continuity of the slope of the Windshield with the slope of the box. This is purely for aesthetics. I saw a picture of an older Grand Cherokee with the box and it seemed to fit perfectly and looked nice. But the older body style has different dimensions. I think it is shorter, so Im hoping it will fit Distance from center of the front crossbar to the top edge of the windshield is approx. 35 1/2 inches. Distance between the center of the front crossbar and the center of the rear crossbar is approx. 35 1/2 inches, Not that this vehicle has two sets of mount points for the rear crossbar. I am using the rearmost mountpoint. Distance from center of the rear crossbar to the top edge of the hatch is approx. 17 inches. Thank you in advance for your help

@JoelV If you have 35-1/2" from the center of the front crossbar to the edge of the windshield then you'll likely be fine. I've got one of these ordered to our office so I can measure and get you exact lengths but it'll take a few days before I can get my hands on it.
