Today, we're going to be taking a look at some replacement parts for your Yakima FatCat 4, or your FatCat 6 EVO. So, if you're like me and you lose things a lot, or things just tend to break on ya, well, what we're gonna be looking at today is gonna be some replacement parts, specifically, just a little knob right here. So, if it breaks on ya, maybe you tighten it down a little too much, or it just gets brittle over time, these knobs are gonna be essential to getting the FatCat Evo up onto your roof. So it's gonna come with four of these right here. So if you have FatCat, all you have to do is grab one of the replacements and it's gonna come with enough for both the front crossbar and the back crossbar and each of 'em have two on them, but it's also gonna come with the washer as well. So if you did lose the washer and you don't have one at your house, it's gonna come with both.
So you don't really have to worry about anything like that. But again, sometimes these kind of run off or they just break. So we do have replacements for ya. It's gonna be the exact same one that came with the kit originally. So you don't have to worry about it not fitting.
There really isn't a whole lot to go over when it comes to replacement parts, just know that we do have them. And if you maybe break the whole entire foot assembly too, we have this as well. So just go to the related parts section of the webpage of FatCat and you're gonna find all the replacement parts. That's basically it for our look at the replacement washer and knob set for your Yakima FatCat Evo..

I have a Yakima Fat Cat ski rack and the screw knobs for the ski rack broke, so I needed a replacement set. eTrailer always has the replacement parts that I need for my Yakima gear.
These replacement knivs are original Yakima quality. However, I knocked off a star for the poor design that necessitates their replacement.

These worked great to retrofit my older (2008?) FatCat Evo6 carriers and be able to mount them on stock 2024 Mercedes cross bars. Very easy installation.
Exactly what I needed for my Yakima FatCat. I've had my ski racks for 10 years and two plastic knobs broke this year. Now I can keep using my ski racks with an inexpensive replacement part.

Parts did the job, I'm still using them on my rack today!
It was very easy to find exactly what I needed. Shipping and handling was very fast.
Product was great and got here fast. My spouse over tightened the knob and turned it the wrong way causing it to break at the plastic. I ordered these and they got here fast. Pro tip: in a pinch, you can tighten the metal nut with pliers until the replacement arrives. Now I have three left for when this inevitably happens next ski season.

One year later still happy with my Yakima parts from etrailer.
I went from devastation to elation in five minutes 30 seconds. I broke the above noted screw/locking device for my Yakima ski rack while putting it on my car for the season. I immediately looked up "Yakima ski rack parts" on the computer and a picture of he exact part popped up on my screen in no time. In another two minutes I had completed the ordering process and the part was on its way.
The best part was etrailer didn't jack up the price for the part or charge some insane amount for shipping (and the part got here in no time)!
Exactly what I needed.
I now have several of these racks (on two vehicles). Switching the original rack between vehicles was easy until a knob broke. The cam nut still functioned but switching between vehicles was a pain. Bought a second rack and now have the extra parts available if/when I need them. etrailer was easy to work with and updated me frequently as to the status of this back-ordered part (Yakima didn't have the part available either).
Better quality than the originals!
I recently ordered these knobs as I lost one of mine used to tighten and secure my Yakima FatCat 4 snowboard rack to my crossbars and it wasn't possible without these. Not only did they fit as hoped but they seem to be heavier duty and of better quality than the original knobs that came with the rack. These are Yakima OEM knobs so they're the real deal but it seems like Yakima improved the quality of them compared to the ones that came with the rack I have.
With all of this said, one can easily find wing nuts that will fit the screw to the Yakima rack but just in case you were wondering if these would work and fit, the answer is yes! And they're the best quality!
