Looking For Bed Mounted Camper Tie Downs For 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 Custom Crew Cab

Question:
Hello! I have a general question about camper mounting/tie downs. I have a 2021 chevy silverado 1500 custom crew cab. I also have a 2017 palomino backpack edition camper. My camper doesnt fit far enough over the side rails of my truck to use the frame mounted system. Is there another method of securing my camper into my truck bed? Thank you.

Hey Patrick thanks for getting in touch. I looked over a few pictures of these 2017 palomino backpack edition campers and all of them look like they stick out past the side rails of the truck far enough to use frame mounted tie downs. Unless your custom crew cab somehow obstructs the tie down points, I am having a hard time seeing why they wouldn't work. If you want to email me a few pictures of the truck and camper I would definitely be interested to take a look.
If the frame mount truly will not work, the only other option is the Brophy Slide In Camper Tie-Downs # HSSF. These are universal tie downs that attach to the bed rails. I do suggest you take a look at the pictures on the part page and make sure your custom truck would not create any obstructions. The video below will show you more about the Brophy tie downs. Feel free to reach out if there is anything else I can do.

Hey Patrick, how did things go with the Brophy bed mount tie downs for your Silverado and Palomino camper? Were they able to give you a solid way to secure the camper without using the frame mounts? Your update could make it easier for the next person with a similar setup.
