SumoSprings Kit Recommendation for a 2022 Renegade Motorhome

Updated 11/04/2024 | Published 10/22/2024

Question:

I have a 2022 Renegade 25ft on a Mercedes sprinter 3500 chassis. To improve the load and have the hydraulic jacks higher, I had a reinforcement blade installed on each side at the back. As a result, the suspension is harder, dishes move more in the cupboards. Can the SSR 338-47 from Supersprings improve the suspension and decrease the vibration inside or will increase the harshness. Would the ssr 338-54 be better. Thank you. I have 2 wheel drive. Merci. J’ai 2 roues motrices.

Hello Pierrelavoie!

Yes, the SumoSprings kits will help to soften the ride up a little since they are progressive springs which means they provide more support as more weight is placed on them.

Since your 2022 Renegade is a larger Class C motorhome I recommend going with the 1,400 lb SumoSprings Kit # SSR-338-54 over the 900 lb Kit # SSR-338-47 simply because your motorhome will likely need it.

I'm attaching an installation video of this kit on a 2022 MB motorhome for your reference.

Therefore it will knock less and the dishes will move less. Is it exact?

@Pierrelavoie Yes, that is the mindset behind it.

SSR 338-54 est plus cher de en argent canadien que 338-47. En vaut-il la peine? Thank you SSR 338-54 is 75.00 more expensive in Canadian silver than 338-47. Is it worth it?

@PierreL Yes, the extra pricing for the heavier-duty kit will be worth it. These are essentially the same product, just with different weight ratings, which I believe has to do with how dense they are.
