Question:
Will this fit on the front of a 2003 E150 van?
asked by: Tim C
Expert Reply:
Hi Tim; the Curt # 13053 only fits the rear of the 2003 E-150 since it is a regular trailer hitch. For a front hitch that fits your E-150 you can use the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65001. This has a 2" receiver with a line pull of 9,000 lbs, 500 lb vertical load, and 5,000 lb gross trailer weight.
There is a Curt front hitch # 33055 as well, but we have had some reports in the past that it didn't fit certain models if there were bumps on the frame on either side at the point of attachment. The Draw-Tite hitch has a depressed spot on the brackets to accommodate for these if you have them.

Hey Tim, how did the Draw-Tite front hitch work out on your E-150? It sounds like it was a good fit for models with those frame bumps. Your update could make it easier for others working on the same van.
