How to Determine Height Setting of Curt PowerRide 5th Wheel Hitch For Ford F-450

Good Morning. I own a 2023 F450 and a 5th wheel 2015 model 3950T. Triple axel toy hauler. Both are completely stock. Looking at your 30k hitch system. What is the recommended setting height on the hitch?

Hi Phillip,

You'll need to take a couple quick measurements to determine the height setting for the 30,000 lb Curt PowerRide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ford Towing Prep Package # C48BR.

Just measure from the ground to under the trailer's kingpin skid plate, and then from the ground to the surface of the truck bed, and subtract that from the first measurement (Ground to Skid Plate - Ground to Truck Bed = Height Setting).

The # C48BR has a height adjustment from 13" to 17" so you'll need to be in that range with your measurements.
