Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com, today we're gonna take a quick look at this Lippert replacement manual override grommet. This is going to replace the grommet that installs in the manual override port on your Solera powered RV awning drive pin. And this will help to protect the manual override access port from rain and debris so you won't have to worry about anything getting in there. Because this is a direct replacement from Lippert, which is the company that produces the Solera awnings, you can trust this is gonna fit right in place of that original grommet, you're not going to have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. But just to give you a little bit more reassurance, you can see our outer diameter there is right about one inch and then our internal diameter, we've got that cut out, but overall we're at about three-quarters of an inch. So, just like the original, it's going to fit in.
This will work with all Solera powered RV awnings, and do a great job of covering that manual override port for you. So that completes our look for today, again I'm Michael with etrailer.com, thanks for watching..
The grommet fit fine. Installation is helped with the notch on the internal ridge...It just took forever to get to me. That's not the fault of eTrailer but the USPS. I would recommend not shipping with USPS.

The grommet came in a round shape and the hole in the awning cover is oblong. I hope it stays in the hole, not a very good fit.
It fills the hole. It works.

Grommet should be shaped the same as the drive head hole. Additionally, too expensive for such a small piece of rubber.

This plugged right in to replace the one I lost.
USPS during the holidays is extremely slow. But the part got here. Round plug in an oblong hole come on Lippert. Etrailer did exactly as requested thank you.

Parts came in no time. A bit pricey $[XX] each when [vendor] sells them for $[XX] each, but I had to settle since Keystone didn't have them in stock.

This grommet doesn’t fit either. We’re 0 for 2 in the attempt to cover this Solera access hole. I will be returning both, as I have no use for either.

I would like to help find the grommet you need. What model of Solera awning do you have?
I was skeptical at first with the grommet being round and the hole in the head cover an oblong shape but to my surprise the grommet is pliable enough to make a good fit.
Doing the job it was designed for no is sues
They work great I lost 2 in the last year and needed replacements
Stupid expensive for a plug that should have lasted longer than 2 years?
This was a direct replacement for my awning cover and fit my 2021 Rockwood MiniLite 2509s perfectly
So the grommet is a circle, my opening on my Solera motor unit on my awning is an oval. It...fits? Kinda. Sorta. Took several orientations in the hole to determine best fit and it still isn't what I would call a 'good' fit. I mean, it's in there. Hope it stays there. If this is how the factory grommet fit no wonder it fell out and I had to replace it. Would've thought a $[XX]+ rubber grommet would fit better. Figured it'd be spot on for fitment considering the cost and it's from etrailer. Maybe I ordered wrong grommet, not really sure.

I reached out to the manufacturer to see if there were any oval-shaped grommets available and they said this is the only one. So, you were correct in getting this one, but I am sorry it seems to be such a wonky fit!
