Hi Frannie,

Awesome choice going with a Kuat rack, they make not only high-quality racks, but ones that look superb as well. And for the specific rack for you and your Volvo, I recommend the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 for its unique combo of function, ease of use, and style. The Sherpa 2.0 even comes in your choice of colors:

- Gray: Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack # SH22G

- Black: Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack # SH22B

- Pearl: Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack # SH22P

One of the best things about the Sherpa 2.0 is how it installs in your hitch, doing so with a simple turn of its knob. The knob also works as an anti-rattle device so the rack (and your bikes) stay stable and safe. The Sherpa 2.0 even tilts down with the use a foot lever so you can access your Volvo's hatch.

Additionally, the Sherpa 2.0 even comes with security measures, giving you a hitch lock to secure the rack to your Volvo, and a cable lock to secure your bikes to the rack.

Thank you for your comments. What do you think of the bike rack the next level down, I think it's called the Transition. What is the main difference between the two besides the price?

@Franmie So the next level down is the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack # KU84FR, and the biggest difference between it and the Sherpa, apart from the aesthetic, is ease of use. The Sherpa you just turn the knob to tighten it in your hitch while with the Transfer you need to use a tool, the included Allen wrench, to tighten it (not to mention keeping track of the Allen wrench). Also, while the Sherpa 2.0 comes with a hitch lock to lock the rack, the Transfer V2 does not, and you'd need to get that separate with part # HL2.
