If you don’t like the look of a bulky hitch hanging below the bumper, this one solves that problem. The cross tube stays concealed behind the rear fascia, leaving your vehicle looking untouched. When you’re not carrying gear, you can remove the 2" receiver and stow it away with no tools needed, making the hitch totally invisible. It’s built for hitch-mounted racks and cargo carriers only, so you can haul your bikes or storage platform without changing the look of your ride.

Getting your bikes or cargo carrier set up is quick and simple. The detachable receiver clicks into the center block until it automatically latches in place, and an integrated lock keeps it secure. When you’re done, unlock it and pull the receiver off in seconds. With a 350 lbs maximum tongue weight, it’s ready to hold a solid load of bikes or extra cargo for weekend trips or daily use.

This hitch uses durable stainless steel parts that resist corrosion and keep their strength over time. The black powder coat finish adds another layer of protection against rust and road grime. The design keeps your original ground clearance and won’t interfere with foot-activated trunk sensors, so you still get full vehicle function along with dependable hauling strength.
Installing this hitch doesn’t require cutting into the frame or using special equipment. It bolts on using existing connection points, protecting your vehicle’s crumple zones. A clear design means no permanent parts hang below the bumper, so once the receiver is removed, there’s nothing to bump into or snag when loading up from behind.

Ratings & Reviews
I love it, you can't even tell it's there, after a year it's still working like it did on day 1. Highly recommend this product.
Nice hitch and does not show after installation. No welding needed.
Inventory immediately available and ships vs other vendors having longer lead times and no inventory.
Etrailer website easy to use, has lots of detailed information and videos of each item.
Customer service and shipping responded timely and accurately to my order.
Very pleased with Etrailer.
I was looking for a hitch primarily for a bike rack or possible some very light towing, but I did not want to ruin the looks of my 2021 Volvo XC40 with a hitch receiver showing in the back. Also I had concerns about blocking the foot sensor for the hatch door with a standard hitch. The Stealth Hitch addressed both concerns perfectly. After installation, it was completely invisible and the foot sensor still worked as it should. I was a very happy camper.
That said, there are 2 considerations to keep in mind before purchasing this product:
1- Make sure there is a qualified local installer in your area as your car could easily be damaged if the installation is not done properly. My Volvo dealer refused to install it because it was not their own product. Proper installation by a professional outfit is expensive and in my case was nearly double to cost of the hitch itself. If you happen to have the tools and know-how to do the installation yourself, then more power to you and has been reportedly done successfully by others.
2- You do have to get under the bumper to install the hitch receiver extension every time you want to attach something to the hitch. Not really a huge deal and a quick process, but a little inconvenient nonetheless. Can't have everything I suppose :)
Overall a great and well designed product that meets a specific need.
Great product. Well designed and fabricated. Receiver hides away when not using hitch.
Shipping and packaging were great. The paint on the hitch frame and components was excellent. The lower facia removal was as-described on the video. I found an alignment problem with the drivers side lug that accepts the 3/8” bolt. It was off center of the hole by 3/16”, so I left that bolt out. The passenger side lug was well aligned with the bolt hole. Another issue I found was access to the lock with the facia installed. In the case of my cx40, there was a plastic piece containing three plugs that was immediately below the lock. Not wanting to move it, I relocated the access port further towards the driver side. The access port is small, just big enough to get my had through. It’s difficult the get the key in the lock but doable. My vision of easily removing the stealth hitch has faded.
I question now if I should have gone with the fixed hitch given the difficulty accessing the lock. I took a few photos which I’ll post. I covered the small “ lock” access hole with black electrical tape.
Overall the quality of the hitch is excellent. I would have appreciated more info about accessing the lock.

The instructions say to move those cables that you are describing as a plastic piece with three plugs, which is actually just the hands free kick sensor. Because you did not want to move those cables, and moved the access port instead, it is more difficult to reach the lock now. It is best just to follow the instructions to ensure that everything works together properly.
