Question:

A year ago i bought the equipment for flat towing a jeep wrangler. Recently I bought a jeep gladiator. I want to add flat tow equipment on it. I will use the following equipment from my current euipment...tow bar and even brake. I would need to get the wiring kit, an even brake transmitter, 6 way plug only, base plate. Can you provide any other equipment that is needed to complete the tow kit

Hey Mark,

I can definitely get you the rest of your flat towing components for the Gladiator. It looks like you have the Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar # RM-522 so you'll want the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5. This fits select models with a factory bumper, if you have an aftermarket bumper then let me know and I can look for a fit.

For the lighting you'll need the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 unless you have ParkSense proximity sensors, which would require smart diodes instead # RM63MR.

For the Even Brake you'll need the Second Vehicle Kit # RM-98400 (serial # below 27,497) or # RM-9430 (serial # above 27,497) as well as a 12v outlet kit # RM-9332 to power the unit directly from the battery. You'll also need a Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751497 to connect to the transmitter since your brake light switch wire isn't useable.

For the 6-pole socket you can use part # RM-910030-7. I recommend filling the included boot with RTV sealant once you have all your wires hooked up to help protect the wires from coming loose or corroding since they'll be exposed to the elements.

The only other thing you should need is just your safety cables, which you can just reuse from the Wrangler.

Thank you Kevin for your response. I have the factory bumper. I don't have the park sense. I have a complete pig tail. I only need the 6 pole socket. My even brake sn is 29732 I only need a another transmitter. I would need a battery charge line kit. As I remember I could not install the stop light switch on my wrangler. Is this the same issue? Thanks again

@MarkS The baseplate would be a fit then and for just the 6-pole socket you can go with part # RM-910030-7. For just the transmitter you'll need the # RM77FR since you're over 27,496. For a battery charge line kit you'll need part # RM-156-25. Are you thinking of the brake light relay kit # RM-88400 or were was there some fitment issue with the stop light switch kit you had? The # RM-751497 should be a fit for your Gladiator. I've attached a video below where Ryan install one on a 2021 model so you can see how it installs.
