I have a 1990 jeep yj that I would like to tow behind an rv. What system would you recommended?

Hey David,

I have the following recommendations for your 1990 Jeep Wrangler YJ:

Baseplate: etrailer Classic Base Plate Kit # e74FV. These bolt to standard factory bumpers so if you have an aftermarket one we'll need to verify if these will still be a fit.

Tow Bar: etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR. This tow bar has safety cables included and a built-in rise/drop to help keep the tow bar level without having to also purchase a high/low adapter.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit will splice into your factory wiring to transfer your motorhome's traffic signals to the Jeep's tail lights.

Braking System: Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System # BLU37TR. This portable system will sit on the floor against the driver's seat to activate the brakes in your Jeep. It does require 12v power in order to function so you'll probably also need to install a 12v outlet # RM-9332 and wire it directly to the battery to ensure the system will have power while you tow.
