If you prefer a simple and clean setup, this base plate keeps things tidy. With no external crossbar or large protruding brackets, only the base plate tabs are visible when you’re not towing. The hidden reinforcement means less hardware showing up front for a low-profile appearance that feels built-in rather than added on.
When you’re towing hundreds or thousands of miles, you want a setup that feels solid. This base plate is constructed of durable steel and bolts securely to your vehicle’s chassis—no welding required. Its sturdy design spreads towing force evenly to help minimize weight on the suspension and provide dependable performance on extended trips.
If you like doing your own work, this one’s straightforward. The kit comes with instructions and all necessary mounting hardware for an easy bolt-on installation. Some drilling is required, but there’s no need for welding or fabrication, so it’s a realistic project for a DIY weekend with basic tools.
You don’t have to give up your favorite tow bar to use this kit. It works directly with all etrailer and Demco Victory Series tow bars and can be adapted for use with other manufacturers’ tow bars when paired with the correct adapter (sold separately). The included electrical bracket lets you mount a round electrical connector plug neatly at the front, keeping wiring organized and ready for hookup.

With its 31" distance between brackets and 18-1/2" bracket height, this base plate gives you the reference points you need when setting up your towing gear or planning your high-low adapter. Those measurements help ensure everything lines up smoothly from the first connection onward.

Not bad. It was easy to mount, took about an hour. It’s Steel so not much to say with regard to it malfunctioning. Seems to be a Demco, at least that’s what the caps say. I bought it cause it looked like it would fit my inexpensive VEVOR tow bar. Had to remove a thin layer of metal so the connector from the tow bar would slip on easy. Pins aligned right up. Tow bar was less than the base plate so I completed this project for very little money compared to having it done. For a big hunk of steel, its really nice!! Recommend it…
