Dimensions For etrailer Base Plate e74FV

Hello do y’all happen to have any specs on the mounts. Would like to know the thickness of the mounting tabs, spacing between the tabs and does it take a 1/2” pin? Thank you

Hello Chris, thanks for reaching out. I went out to our warehouse and measured the etrailer Base Plate # e74FV. The thickness of the tabs is 0.45". The Distance between is 0.625" or 5/8". The pin hole is a 1/2" diameter.

This base plate is compatible with tow bars from Demco, or our etrailer brand tow bars.

The # e74FV base plate fits the following vehicles:

1976 - 1983 Jeep CJ-5 with standard factory bumper
1976 - 1986 Jeep CJ-7 with standard factory bumper
1997 - 2006 Jeep TJ with standard factory bumper
1987 - 2006 Jeep Wrangler with standard factory bumper
1987 - 1995 Jeep YJ with standard factory bumper

Are you needing any other parts for you flat tow setup? I can definitely help with that if you need.

@Robert Hello Robert. Yes, the etrailer Classic Base Plate Kit # e74FV will fit the stock bumper on a 1988 Jeep YJ. Are you needing any other parts for your flat tow setup?

Does this attach to the frame of 2003 Jeep ? Then just need a tow bar ?

@Scott The etrailer Classic Base Plate Kit # e74FV does bolt directly to the frame. It gives you the attachment point for your tow bar so you'll need one of those plus safety chains, wiring kit and braking system. The # e74FV will fit a 2003 Jeep Wrangler/TJ as long as it has a standard factory bumper. What model Jeep do you have? Let me know and I'm happy to throw together a full parts list for you.

@JesseM I ended ordering the Curt C32KR baseplate and the Blue Ox BX4330 From what I could find, they were compatible with each other and the C32KR bolts directly to the frame. Could you verify this for me please Thank You Scott
