Thanks for reaching out again about the vehicle you're needing to flat tow, Zack!
Here are the parts I recommend picking up to flat tow your 2001 Jeep Wrangler:
- etrailer Base Plate Kit # e74FV
- etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR
- Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit # HM56202
- 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Kit # RM-146-7
- Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Air Brakes # DM26VR
- High-Low Adapter (see attached article)
I like the etrailer base plate kit because it looks more rugged and is also more cost-effective than all of the other options, plus I really like how our tow bars function; they have some adjustability and are very easy to use.
The Hopkins wiring will tee in behind your tail lights as opposed to having to splice in your wiring, and then you'll cut off the 4-Way and wire that in to the 6-Way so you have an umbilical that matches your motorhome.
Finally, the Air Force One brake system is a one-time installation on your Jeep, but it installs in such a way that you won't notice it when you aren't flat towing. This will tie-in to the air brakes on your motorhome so the Jeep will stop using the same system, which is great for a smooth braking experience.
