Changing Hubs on 1953 M100 1/4-Ton Military Trailer to Match Jeep Wrangler

I am looking to match my 1953 M100 1/4 ton military trailer to my 2012 Jeep Wrangler JK trailer 5x5.5-JK 5x5 I dont really want to swap out the axle since it is really great shape and tough. Would it be possible to use the 84550BX or other hub to bring the trailer to spec? The trailer does have drum brakes that are for parking only so I dont need to have a drum for my build.

The hub kit you referenced, Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly # 84550BX, has a 5-on-5-inch bolt pattern and so would not work for your trailer 5-on-5-1/2-inch bolt pattern wheels. The link provided will take you to our main page for hub kits in the 5-on-5-1/2-inch bolt pattern where you can use the filters at the left margin to narrow the product results to those with the characteristics you need.
Replacement hubs need to be selected based on several factors: bolt pattern, axle capacity and bearing/seal numbers. The linked photo will show you the typical appearance and location of bearing and seal numbers to help you match up replacements. If you cannot match the bearing numbers the photo also shows where to measure your spindles (with a precision digital caliper) to obtain the measurements that can instead be used to find a replacement hub kit.
For example, we offer Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly # 84555UC1 which is intended for 3500-lb axles. This kit has a 5-on-5-1/2-inch bolt pattern and includes inner bearing L68149 and outer bearing L44649.
