Coiled Flex Umbilical Cable to Join 7-way on RV to 6-Way on Flat Towed Vehicle
Question:
I have the normal blue ox 6 wire to 6 wire female to female coiled extension cable. I need to adapt to the typical 7 wire plug that is on the back of my RV. Is there an adapter which is 6 wire male on one end and the normal 7 wire plug on the other end? The choice so far seems to be remove the round 6 pin on one end and install a 7 wire plug in its place or have an adapter to go from the RV to the 6 pin blue ox coiled cable.

Hopkins offers a flex cable, part # HM47053 that sounds exactly like what you need. On one end, it has the 7-way plug that's compatible with your RV, and a 6-way plug on the other that would plug into your towed vehicle.
I'll link you to some of our help articles that contain additional information about flat towing.
