Towing Mirror Fitment For A 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited

Question:

I have a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 and would like to purchase mirror extensions for towing an 8foot wide trailer. I recently purchased form etrailer these mirrors, which did not fit: K-source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors - Clip On - Pair 1 Will the CM10951 fit my vehicle? If not, can you recommend a set of mirrors that will fit? Thank you!

Hey Donna,

There unfortunately isn't a custom-fit option available for your 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited so universal-fit options like the K-Source # KS3990 that you purchased are going to be the only option. The CIPA Custom Towing Mirror # CM10951 fits select Chevy Silverado's and GMC Sierra's.

What kind of problems were you having trying to get the # KS3990 installed? I've attached a video below where Lucky shows it on and gives some pointers on getting it clamped down tightly that could possibly help.

Thanks Kevin. The problem I had was that the bottom of the mirror casing is so thick the mirror would not clamp on or stay on. Ant suggestions for correcting that issue are appreciated. Donna

@Donna With universal-fit towing mirrors you'll want to loosen up the arms a bit so that you can maneuver them but not enough that they can just collapse. I'll leave the straps completely loose or off (depending on the model) and get the bottom and top clips into place and then tighten up the arms. It'll probably take a bit of playing around to really get the arms to sit correctly with the shape of the mirrors. Once the arms are set the straps can then be tightened down to secure the towing mirror to the factory mirror. I also try to pry on and shake the towing mirror to see if I have it tight enough. The force from highway speed winds can easily pop off the mirrors if done incorrectly so it's best to check now. Once everything is nice and secure you can also mark your straps with a paint marker so that you know exactly what notch to go to the next time you need to use them.

@KevinC Thanks Kevin. As I already returned the mirrors, I am reluctant to reorder them again and struggle to get them to fit and then worry if the highway speed winds will pop them off. I'm disappointed there isn't an easier solution, but I appreciate your assistance. Donna
