The convex reflective glass reduces blind spots and offers a clear wide-angle view of what's around you while changing lanes, passing, backing up, and parking.

Fits well. Looks very stable. Haven't driven with it yet though.

by:

Positionally, the mirror performs well. However, the tension brackets provide inadequate clamping strength. The mirror is essentially a sail that wind is pushing against as you drive down the road... constantly challenging the two lone clamps. You can only tighten the clamps so much before tension partially releases and you need to re-tighten. I lost one of these mirrors five minutes into my second 9 mile test drive on the freeway. I ended up employing a bungee/zip tie contraption as a safety net so I don't lose the other mirror. My vehicle is a 2014 Honda Odyssey.

by:

So far, so good. I received the CIPA mirrors today and immediately installed them. Installation instructions are straight forward. I took a test drive of about 15 miles; there was no noticeable shake or rattle and the mounts did not loosen. As with factory curbside mirrors, objects are closer than they appear with the CIPA mirrors, too.

Our first trip towing is a couple weeks from now. I will update my review after the trip.

by:

The first set we bought saw one mirror fall off the suv in the middle of the highway and was unrecoverable. So we bought a second set only to find that one of the mirrors was not working and could not be extended.

by:

I use these on a Ford Escape when towing my 13' camper. I will admit it took me a few tries to make sure they were tight enough to stay on but I figured it out. I make a point to check the knobs whenever I stop on my travels. After being on the road for a while my eyes adjust to just using the towing mirrors. I don't really notice much, if any, vibration from them. Glad I made the purchase.

by:

They work and I’m glad to have them. However I have to mount them to the bottom of the mirrors on my 2019 Tacoma and they restrict the movement of my regular mirrors. In addition, I had to put metal nuts on the bolts that keep the mirrors adjusted so the mirrors don’t move from the wind of driving.

by:

Easy on/off on existing mirrors, much better than the strap type, can adjust to oval type of mirrors

by:

Ordered for 26 Durango for towing camper, works great for an add on tow mirror.

by:

Grate design, Easy install.

by:

Easy to install and work great

by:

The mirrors were rated to fit my 2017 Toyota Tacoma but, both of them fell off within a few miles of travel and broke.

by:

Soon as I hit 55 miles an hour they flew right off. I had them properly secured just no way of keeping them clipped on.

by:

Mirror extensions. Very easy to put on. Fit like a glove and now I have great vision behind the trailer. Well worth the cost. Placed on Toyota Highlander 2018.

Only fair at best. One came off at freeway speed. The other needed a bungee cord to keep it from going out of position at freeway speed.

by:

Nice and stable once installed and adjusted. They give a good field of vision. They do need to be fully seated against and tightened very tightly to the mirrors, or they WILL fly off going down the road.

by:

We were very excited to get these mirrors as they looked like they were going to be the ideal fit for our car. We put them on the car mirror as prescribed, and tighten them as much as we could without breaking the mirror casing. We were pleased with how easily they installed.

The first time we went out on the road with these mirrors, within 15 minutes, they blew off the car. It was a heavily trafficked road so by the time we were able to turn around and come back we were only able to find one of the mirrors and it was damaged. The other mirror must have been picked up by someone driving by.

I contacted William trailers and explained the situation. Although he was very nice on the phone, I was surprised that there was no discussion to offer to reimburse me - if not all, at least some of the money that we spent on the mirrors - of which I now had only 1 cracked mirror.

For this reason I cannot recommend you buy mirrors from this company. They need to have a refund/replacement policy for customers for faulty products.

by:

They work well with my frontier. My pontoon boat is 8 feet wide and 24 feet long with trailer 30 feet long. So mirrors work great.

by:

The mirrors are easy to install and provide the needed viewing experience necessary for RV towing! The customer service team at trailer.com is nothing short of amazingly Stellar. Their commitment to the customer and their integrity in providing customer service are not usually found in big box stores and my experience with their team has proven them worthy of my respect and repeated patronage.

by:

It was easy to install and still allowed my mirrors to be controlled from inside the car as normal. The test will be under real world conditions to see if the mirrors stay mounted and don’t lose their orientation. So far I am very impressed.

by:

So far, so good. Installation was quite straight forward and relatively easy. Have not had opportunity as of yet to utilize on the road or attempting trailering boat into storage or water.

by:

Apparently you have to bungee strap them on. I even checked the tightness every 75 miles or so. As you can see i now have the remaining one bungee'd.

by:

I purchased these mirrors for use on my 2023 Ford F550. THEY WILL NOT WORK ON THIS TRUCK IN THE WAY THEY ARE DESIGNED. The upper housing for the stock mirrors is too thick to accommodate the clamps on the mirrors. However, I modified them slightly and they achieve my goals for them very well. I only use them for backing my motorhome (on the F550) into tight spaces; the stock mirrors are not useful for this purpose. I remove the accessory mirrors for driving on public roads.

To make the modification, I removed the original pads from the mirror clamps. I stuck small pads designed for the bottoms of chair legs to the tops of the stock mirrors on the truck. These pads engage the retention screws on the clamps for the accessory mirrors. They seem secure enough for my purpose and I do not intend to use these mirrors while driving on public roads. For for my purpose, the mirrors work very well.

by:

These extension mirrors are great. Once set up, it's easy on, easy off!

by:

The mirrors work BUT they do tend to fall off! One of the reviewers suggested tying them on and I did, so I didn't lose the mirror (twice). Also a reviewer suggested lock nuts and I installed those as well. But aside from that they work well.

by:

Thank for a quick turn around on your product. The average replacment price to completely change mirrors on a Dodge Ram 1500 was 300 plus dollars. The price point and how frequently I tow my trailer, made these mirrors not only more economical but also more practical. Also, with the upgraded Dodge mirriors the dealer stated I would loose some of the original functionality. Therefore, this made these mirrors a great value for price point.

Still use them at the time of purchase it was then a great product at a great price point. The etrailer staff were knowledgeable and friendly. If needed would buy them again.

I just put these on and they work gr8. Hooked up the 5th wheel and tested.. speeds from 40 to 70+ mph. Very little vibration.. these are installed on a 2015 GMC 2500hd Sierra with the big rectangular mirrors. Best mirror i have found for these type of mirrors. In the photos I have the mirrors totally retracted. You can loosen the big nut and mirror can slide/extend out more. I would have gave 5 stars. But since I just put on.. I will reserve 5th star for a longer test.. when I installed i installed the rubber/foam pads provided. My thinking pad will possibly grip better on the underneath side. Note u can put mirror in a landscape or portrait position.. I am very pleased with these mirrors.
UPDATED Review 08/09/2026
1.) I want to commend eTrailer for sending me another mirror when one of them fell off. Can't say enough about eTrailer's customer service on this.
2.) The extended view this mirror provided is exactly what I needed. being able to see down the side of my Trailer and see the trailer tires.
3.) Now for a full indepth review after 13,000 miles. (A..) the mirrors will come loose. I had to continuously re-tightened (2-3 times throughout the day). I ended up connecting bungee cords to help keep them on. (B..) on one mirror one of the pads that clamps down to my mirror came off and was lost. (.C..) the clamping piece that clamps the extendable rod slowly failed to secure the rod in position and the mirror would rotate down rendering it unusable.. I am still using one mirror. but it is starting to exhibit all the same symptoms as the other. it will not last much longer. (D..) I must NOTE.. these mirrors have seen some high heat. While in Phoenix AZ. I experienced 116 deg. and regularly 100+ deg.
4.) I would NOT buy again

Hey Mike on the # CM11980C there is a ribbed rubber pad that gets pressed down on the mirror housing when you tighten them down.
