Can Roadmaster High Low Adapter be Used with Spare Carrier
Updated 01/12/2026 | Published 09/03/2024 >
Question:
I am using a Curt Hitch Spare Tire Mount and would like to lower my effective receiver height by 6 to 8 inches. I have a 29inch wheel. Looks like the weight capacities are all fine. Any reason RM-077-8 wouldnt work? I have a 2023 F350 Super Crew with a front hitch mount. Bill

Hey Bill, the Roadmaster High Low Adapter part # RM-077-8 that you referenced would work great for what you are looking for. It will lower your hitch opening like you are wanting and is fine from a weight capacity standpoint as well.

Hey Bill, how did things go using the Roadmaster adapter with your Curt spare tire mount on the F350? It sounds like it should have given you the drop you needed. Your update could make it easier for others working on a similar setup.
