Hello, Im purchasing a 2025 Honda Pilot Black Edition, and it has the hands-free liftgate feature. What hitch and wiring would I need for this vehicle so that we dont lose the hands-free functionality?

Hey Gregory, thanks for reaching out!

I recommend picking up the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e27KR and the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C48ZV for your 2025 Honda Pilot.

At this point in time we haven't tested out the hands-free liftgate feature on a 2025 Pilot so I can't guarantee that it will still work with any of our hitches, but it sits back far enough you should be able to kick to the left or right of the hitch receiver for the sensors to pick up your foot motion.

Hey Gregory, did you get a chance to try the hitch and wiring on your 2025 Pilot to see if the hands-free liftgate still works? Knowing how the sensors responded around the hitch could really help others setting up the same vehicle.
