Question:
I have a tuscon directlink brake controller with an hd module and It is saying that the trailer is not connected. I know it is and all wiring is good. I was told you guys sell something that goes up by the pin box that replicates the signal it would recieve from the magnetic brakes that make it show that it is connected. Is this right

Hey Donnie! The only thing we would have is the Tuson Heavy Duty Truck Module Kit for DirecLink Brake Controller item # 335HDCON-9PIN, which it sounds like you already have. This one is specifically designed for the Volvo semi's. It works with the rigs that have the 9-pin Deutsch connector.
The Tuson DirecLink Base Model Trailer Brake Controller item # 335DL-100 and the alternate model 335DL-200NE are both compatible with electric or electric-over-hydraulic trailer brakes. The only thing I can think you may need is an adapter like the Hydrastar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Adapter Module for Ford and Chevy Brake Controllers item # HBA-CAM. We do not have one that is compatible with Tuson brake controller's though. This would be necessary in an electric over hydraulic brake set up.

Hey Donnie, did you ever get the DirecLink brake controller to recognize your trailer connection? Knowing what ended up fixing the “trailer not connected” message could help others running a similar setup. Your update could make it easier for the next person troubleshooting this issue.
