Hey Kenneth, thanks for reaching out!

I recommend going with the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 because it's entry-level as far as ease of use goes, it has a great price-point, and it's backed by a limited lifetime warranty which is pretty unusual for a controller at this price.

If your 2010 Chevy Silverado came with the factory tow package then you should just need to splice the included pigtail wiring harness to some wiring under your dash, but if you don't have the factory tow package then you'll need to also need to either connect the wiring from the Pollak Kit # PK11898 at the back of your vehicle or you'll need to connect the Hopkins # 30955 if you have a round plug instead of bare wires (at the back of your truck).

Attached is a helpful article on how to install this brake controller, as well as a few installation videos for your referenc.

Hey Kenneth, how did things go with the Tekonsha Primus IQ brake controller on your Silverado? Did the wiring under the dash match up with what you found in the guide? Your update could make it easier for others setting up their first controller.
