The 2010 Chevy Silverado will have a wire bundle tucked up under the dash, to the left of the steering column, held together with a white tag. The tag should also have the wire functions on it but we have learned that they are as follows:
Red/black on truck goes to brake controller black for 12 volt power. White on the truck goes to white on the controller for ground. Light blue/white on the truck goes to controller red for input from the brake switch. Dark blue on the truck goes to blue on the brake controller for output to the trailer brakes. The orange wire on the truck is not used.
I have included a link to an FAQ article that should help. There may be some additional connections you will need to make under the hood to make everything fully functional. The FAQ article covers these connections as well.

I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500, I purchased a Briidea brake controller and an Oyviny brake controller adapter specified for the vehicle. I have to connect the wires to each other, will this be color coded? They both have 4 wires, black red white blue When watching some of the videos around they are crossing colors of wires. Just wondering which way is correct. Ken
