Can a 4 Pole to 7-way Adapter Be Used to Tow a Trailer With Brakes

Question:
I have a camper with electric brakes. I have a 1989 Silverado with flat 4 plug. Can a 4 flat to 7 pin adapter work to use to make electric brakes work. I have a brake controller installed are will I have to wire a 7 pin line and 7 pin plug to make the electric brake work on camper

Danny, yes, a 4 pole to 7 way adapter like the Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole Vehicle End Trailer Connector # 30717 will work fine with electric brakes since the blue brake output wire would get hooked up.
